Gujarat Day Assembly

Gujarat Gaurav Divas or Gujarat Day, is a day of great significance for the people of Gujarat. From the White Rann to the Gir Forest, Gujarat is a treasure trove of natural wonders. Gujarat is one place where history, spirituality, and modernity coexist harmoniously. This state is often referred to as the - Jewel of Western India, where unity in diversity is no motto, it’s a way of life.
The colours of the Gujarat Day celebration unfolded at DPS Vapi through a special assembly on 1st May 2024. This special Day, celebrated the Gateway to the future.
The assembly commenced with a melodious Gujarati prayer. As a symbol of our commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the magnificent state of Gujarat, students portrayed beautifully, the progress of the state, by performing a skit. Our students took a pledge to collectively uphold the values of unity, integrity, and progress. Gradually, we embarked on a captivating journey through Gujarat's history with a skit on famous cities of Gujarat showcasing its ancient civilizations to its modern-day achievements - like Amul Diary, Vantara centre, Diamond city, Garment Hub & Statue of Unity. It depicted the remarkable story of Gujarat.
Through colourful costumes and intriguing storytelling, we witnessed the rich cultural heritage that laid the foundation of Gujarat's identity. The key highlight of the event “Ranglo & Rangli” characters epitomized the historical figures and landmarks that shaped the cultural and architectural landscape of Gujarat.
The assembly was then graced with mesmerizing cultural performances that depicted the diversity and beauty of Gujarat. Our talented students presented traditional dances like Hudo folk and Garba reflecting the spirit of joy and unity that defines our state. The rhythmic claps and twirls of our scintillating performers encapsulated the kernel of Gujarat's folk-dance traditions. Each step reflected the fervour and vibrance of our rich cultural heritage.
Today's celebrations through Music, Garbas and Skit has not only entertained us but also instilled a deep sense of pride and appreciation for our beloved state deep within us. Let us carry forward the spirit of Gujarat Day in our hearts, cherishing our heritage and working towards a brighter future for Gujarat.
May Gujarat thrive, prosper and climb the ladder of progress.
