Sensory Treats; Stimulating senses

"The senses, being the explorers of the world, open the way to knowledge."

Sensory Week is an important event in pre-primary education, focusing on activities that engage children's senses. The pre-primary section conducted a plethora of sensory-enriching activities intending to enhance sensory development, cognitive growth, and motor skills through hands-on and exploratory experiences. The young learners were engaged in different activities like exploring with rattling bins, creating personal tactile cards, and walking on the textured pads. The children displayed increased curiosity and engagement, enhancing their sense of touch and dexterity. ‘I Spy’ games helped them employ their visual and fine motor skills. Scent Exploration made the DIPSITES more aware of different scents and improved their ability to describe them.

The week was for them not less than a sensory treat that encouraged creativity, language skills, stimulation, and physical coordination. It provided a comprehensive sensory experience, fostering an environment of study and erudition.
